In February 2010, Cpl (retired) Don Schellenberg, a former Cook with 17/38 Service Battalion, created by hand/machine a wooden replica of a 5.56, C7 Rifle used in Canada’s military. The replica has 86 moving parts. Cpl. Schellenberg donated the replica to the CSS Museum in 2023. The replica parts consist of:
