Senate – Fundraising
The Service Battalion Senate, Inc. fundraises to provide a scholarship award each year and to provide operating revenue for the Senate and/or Combat Service Support Museum projects.
The main scholarship fundraising activity each year is a Bingo Bowl event held at a local liquor-licensed bowling facility. The Saturday evening event includes three games of bowling, a mid-evening pizza snack, raffles for prizes, and a 50/50 draw. The Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries Commission licenses the raffles.
Another source of fundraising is through donations. The Service Battalion Senate, Inc. is a registered charitable organization. A tax receipt will be provided for any donations over $20 on request.
