This is a Provost drill cane with Corps insignia used and donated by WO2 Fred Johnson, 13 Provost Company, Winnipeg, MB
A military drill cane, also known as a pace stick, is a tool used by non-commissioned officers and cadets in the Canadian military to measure distance, intervals, and pace length. Bugle majors in light infantry, rifle, and voltigeur regiments may use a parade cane instead of a mace (a heavy club, typically having a metal head and spikes.)
