On 20 April 24, long-time Senate member Maj (Ret’d) John Lawrence was presented with a quilt of valour for his service to Canada at the Senate’s annual Bingo Bowl fundraising event. A nominated person must have suffered a serious or disabling injury or have served overseas in either a war zone or as a peacekeeper.
