Home School Group Tours Minto Armouries Museums
On 15 May 24, 20 local Home School Group parents and students had an opportunity to visit the Minto Armouries Museums. The overall group was divided into three smaller groups. Museum volunteers offered a 30-minute tour and information about their respective museum while the visitors rotated through the three museums. The group was very appreciative of the tours. A big thanks to the Royal Winnipeg Rifles Museum, Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders Museum, and the Combat Service Support Museum for hosting the group.
(Photos) Sgt (ret’d) Mike Nickerson, QOCH Museum, provides information to one of the small groups (below). Two of the visitors try on a great coat and turtle helmet from the 1950s/60s as well as a combat jacket and helmet from the 1970s/80s at the CSS Museum.
