History Book Sale 2026
On Saturday, 30 May 26, several Winnipeg Army Reserve units, including 116 Independent Field Battery, Kenora, participated in a collective unit history book sale during Doors Open Winnipeg at Strachan (formerly McGregor) Armouries, McGregor and Machray. Visitors had the opportunity to purchase several unit histories bundled together for the bargain price of $130. The unit history books offered were Facta Non Verba and Vanguard (FGH), The History of the Militia in Kenora (116 Fd Bty), Ladies from Hell and The Lion Rampant (QOCH), Named by the Enemy (R Wpg Rifs), and United in Effort (38 Svc Bn). Another collective history book sale will be held on Saturday, 20 June just west of Bldg 90 at CFB Winnipeg (outside the base) for those unable to attend on 30 May.
