In 1945, when war ended in Europe and Japan, people took to the streets to mark VE and VJ Days.

• May 8 – Veterans and their families, along with military representatives Meet-and-Greet, Manitoba Legislature (12 Noon)
• September 10 – Candlelight Vigil at Brookside Cemetery, Winnipeg (at dusk)
• September 24 – Film: IF DAY at Caboto Centre, Winnipeg (7 PM Screening)
• September 25 – Historical Forum: 7 PM, Winnipeg at War at the Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada
