On Saturday, 2 December 23, 17 Service Company of 38 Service Battalion held its annual Ex Red Holly holiday dinner at the Minto Armouries Junior Ranks Mess, with over 40 unit members and Senate guests attending. Representing the Service Battalion Senate, Inc., Maj (ret’d) Erv Gerbrandt presented two Senate awards: (a) Cpl Darpan Vora received the Senate Scholarship Award, for the second time; and (b) a surprised MCpl Hue Tang received the Senate’s 2023 Performance Recognition Award.
