DESCRIPTION:On 8 May 25, over 100 veterans, current serving military, family and friends gathered at the Legislature in the rotunda to commemorate the Victory in Europe (VE) at the end of the Second World War 80 years ago. Speakers included Her Honour Lieutenant-Governor Anita Neville, the Honourable Wab Kinew, Premier of Manitoba, and MLA David Pankratz, Manitoba Special Envoy for Military Affairs who served as the Master of Ceremonies. Three 2WW veterans, ages 98, 102 and 103 representing the Army, Navy and Air Force attended and received a standing ovation from those present. A reception was held following the ceremonies.\n\n			\n				\n			\n		\n\n
