SUMMARY:Gino: A Child of War Premier
DESCRIPTION:On Sunday, 22 Oct 23, over 260 guests attended the Winnipeg premiere of “Gino: A Child of War” at the Caboto Centre at 1055 Wilkes Avenue. The Gino story is about a five-year-old Italian boy who lost or lost touch with his parents in 1944 during the Second World War. He was found and cared for by several men from the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps (RCASC) for several months until they had to move to the European theatre. He never forgot those soldiers and considers them his Canadian Guardian Angels. Senate members Barb Gillis and Dale Watts attended the event.\n
