SUMMARY:WWII Special Operations Executive Unveiling
DESCRIPTION:On 13 July 2023,  Service Battalion Senate Chair LCol Dale Watts, retired, participated in an invitation-only event to unveil a plaque dedicated to the Second World War Special Operations Executive (SOE). LCol Robert Nash, retired, and others presented information on 27 Manitobans who had been SOE members or supported SOE operations during the war, only four of whom survived the war.\nThe research into the Manitoba veterans identified, plaque creation, and plaque placement took almost four years. The plaque will be placed on the Wall of Honour in the Legislative Building.\n\n \n \n \n \n Special Operations Executive Plaque.\n \n \n \n \n \n LCol Dale Watts (retired) and LCol Robert Nash (retired).\n \n \n\n
